Emotional Intelligence is the ability to identify, use, understand and manage emotions (Wolfe, 1999). I presented this definition at the first European conference on Emotional Intelligence in London in 1999.

I found this essay extremely interesting. Having just completed a meeting with my manager to discuss my end of the year review, I can easily relate to your example. I also really enjoy the concept of the the Roadmap. It is a tangible solution to a problem rather than an abstract idea. Thanks!

Greetings Chuck and I enjoyed reading your blog! For the benefit of others, Chuck has assisted with executive coaching at our hotels and we have found great value in his work and continue to use Chuck in areas of coaching, and high potential work, under the emotional intelligence umbrella.
